The 2-Layer GORE-TEX shell is reinforced with robust 70D 3-Layer GORE-TEX Pro on the lower leg to prevent damage from ski crampons or slashes from sharp ski edges.

These waterproof barriers are incredibly thin. At Rab we use membranes that range between 7 and 30 microns in thickness ¨C for reference, a strand of human hair is around 100 microns. Finer membranes will allow for greater breathability for fast and light pursuits. Thicker membranes provide a greater level of waterproof durability.
